Ignorance, or just plain deception?

Sorry that so many of my blogs have been political in nature as of late, it's not my intention, it's just hard for me not to comment when there is so much "shit" going on around us in this world, and so much being shoved into our brains. It seem like if we get this kind of crap repeated to us enough, we may actually begin to believe it. Well, I for one try to come to my own conclusions about things, but it's not always easy, here is why.

Yesterday I was listening to Micheal Savage on the radio. This isn't someone I listen too very often, but he was really laying into what a bunch of pussies the republicans have become, due to the supposedly impending doomed election they are heading into. I found this to be entertaining and quite comical. I say that because this guy has names for everyone, in fact, from what I can tell, most of these talk show people don't really report or discuss anything of substance any more, they just bash the opposing party, and in this guy's case, his own party as well.

Now, I hear these people bashing on the "drive by media" all of the time, but in reality they aren't much better. Take this little story for example.

Yestday this Savage fellow was going off on CNN and one of their reporters, Micheal Ware. He was playing a video clip on the air, or at least the audio portion of it. This video clip had Micheal Ware on there walking you thru what was happening, and translating what the camera man was saying as well as the sniper (if you would like to see the video go here, the video is about a third of the way down the page on the left under "video's"). Well, Mr.Savage was ranting and raving how President Bush should be having everyone at CNN arrested that had anything to do with this, as well as Mr.Ware being arrested on treason for being embeded with the enemy.
Yes, thats right, Mr.Savage continued to beat into his listeners heads that this Micheal Ware is a traitor for being imbeded with the enemy.

Just as I was ready to turn off the car, a listener called in to question Mr.Savage about his rantings. The caller simply asked, or stated one thing, "Don't you think that CNN just obtained this video, and Micheal Ware is just translating?"
For a moment there was just dead air, something you don't really want on radio, then Mr.Savage replied with this "I have no Comment on that."

Seems like the kind of thing a lying politician or corrupt official would answer when they know they are fucked.

Well, I did a little research myself this morning, something which I doubt most people do anymore, I'm pretty sure that the majority of the sheep in this country just listen to these people and take what they have to say as completely true and honest, and are relying that the research has been done and mistakes are not being made, which in turn creates huge lies and misconceptions. It is a viscious cycle. Anyhow, as it turns out, this was nothing more than a translation by Micheal Ware.

So, I encourage everyone out here in reader land to PLEASE not just take for granted what you hear to be truth, go out and determine for yourselves what is fact and what is fiction. Because in this day and age, there are plenty of resources to find answers, albeit they may not be the answer you are looking for, but if you dig hard enough, you should be able to make an informed decision for yourself.
